Butchery Beginnings
Michael Fleming comes from a family of dairy farmers and, at the age of 16, his father found him a summer job in a local butcher’s shop. While there, Michael discovered a natural affinity for the work, and the rest, as they say, is… butchery! He has been running Fleming’s Butchers since he was 25.

Suppliers of beef, lamb, pork and bacon
Originally a wholesale business, Fleming’s supplied beef, lamb, pork and bacon to high-end restaurants and hotels across the country. In 2006, a growing appreciation of his meats amongst the general public led Michael to open his first consumer-facing shop in the small town of Stepaside, Co. Dublin. Fourteen years later, this shop continues to go from strength to strength, with 12 people employed across the Fleming’s brand today.

Years of Expertise
At Fleming’s, we combine years of expertise with dedicated customer service to bring you the standards of meat you deserve. We use a traditional dry aging process to bring out the very best flavour and texture in our grass-fed Irish beef. Animal welfare is as important to us as it is to you, and we offer a wide range of free range and organic chicken, pork, lamb and beef, choosing Irish suppliers with the highest standards.
Our chickens and turkeys are supplied by Mary O’Reegan in Enniscorthy, while our bronze turkeys come from Snugburrow Farm in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow. We source our free range pork from Salters of Carlow, and organic pork and bacon from Ballykeen Estate, Avoca. We are proud members of the Organic Trust.

We recognise that today’s cook is a busy one – that’s why our range of ready-to-cook meals, prepared in-house, makes it easier than ever to enjoy healthy, flavoursome dinners in no time. From stuffed pork fillets, chicken skewers and sweet potato fries to tasty “fakeaway” curries and stir-fries, there’s something here for every palate; we even offer cooked roast chickens, ideal for a hassle-free Sunday dinner.
We’re also here to take care of the health-conscious customer, with plenty of low-fat, high-protein options across the range. Check out our Slimmer’s collection: from lean and clean burgers to low-calorie breakfast foods, we make it easy to indulge without the guilt.
Online Ordering Service
In addition to our shop in Stepaside, we also offer a convenient online ordering service, so that you can have top-quality meat delivered straight to your door. We’ve recently launched a catering service, too, providing delicious classics such as beef Stroganoff and chicken à la King for your next special occasion.
